BEIJING, Feb 22 (Reuters) – * China’s biggest state-backed aluminium producer Aluminium Corporation of China (Chinalco) is seeking buyers for a processing plant in southern city Guangzhou at a floor price of 1.1 billion yuan ($163.7 million), according to a document filed with the Beijing Equity Exchange on Friday.
* The company is restructuring its aluminium business after last year’s takeover of fellow state-run producer Yunnan Aluminium.
* Chinalco did not disclose reasons for the proposed sale but said the plant made a loss of 15.41 million yuan last year. ($1 = 6.7200 Chinese yuan renminbi)
